the legal paper trail, not vibes.
a public timeline built from my emails, billing, and the defendants’ own answer
master timeline
lowe v. northwestern mutual
public summary based on my saved emails, calendar, portal screenshots, and the defendants’ filed answer. dates/amounts below come from those records. where i describe intent or impact, that’s my opinion. defendants deny wrongdoing; a court will decide.

chronological timeline (jan 2024 → jul 2025)
jan 12, 2024 — advisor assignment & setup. jessica e. tenenbaum assigned; underwriting/medical history starts; auto-draft set up from my account. i ask her via instagram dm to help me transfer my IRA to northwestern mutual. she never has an official onboarding phone call or zoom meeting with me and never gives me her phone number. but she texts and calls my husband regularly.
jan 15–16, 2024 — i’m in the ER at 38 weeks for head/body trauma; i publicly disclose head trauma and hospital visit on social posts. multiple nm reps follow the account and watch routinely.
jan 23–28, 2024 — peripartum e-signature push. multiple “signature needed / e-signature notice” emails go out for me and my husband the same week i’m in the ER and scheduled for a c-section on 1/25. office had my due date and had broadcasted it via powerpoint to onboarding reps, including jessica.
jan 25, 2024 — c-section. our child is born.
feb 6, 2024 — postpartum proximity. tenenbaum is photographed holding my newborn at my home. she only contacts my unemployed husband about the upcoming visit. she brings nothing for me personally. i believe she ordered something for my husband off our registry. i stay in our bedroom nursing wounds from childbirth and dv assault. she keeps pushing policies, but never makes direct contact with me besides instagram dms that i initiate.
feb 9, 2024 — “welcome to underwriting.” adult applications show signature complete + conditional insurance agreement; drafts to come from my ACH (noted $77.35/mo for adult coverage).
apr 30–may 29, 2024 — juvenile chain. multiple “signature needed” emails → may 28 “signature complete — juvenile (my baby)” + conditional → may 29 “welcome to underwriting.”
may 22, 2024 — ops notes $30.28 added to the 19th-of-month draft for the child policy.
oct 2024 — separation + TRO/FRO. premiums continue drafting from me for husband + infant policies. he has financially abandoned us by the end of this month. he continues to draft his personal bills from my account.
jan 14, 2025 — “payment request received.” $217.75 auto-drafted from my new checking …5202 to nm billing …4395 (i changed banks out of desperation because my husband was actively draining the last of our funds to survive). confirms i’m payor of record.
jan 17, 2025 — secure msg from new advisor kaitlin (katie) rosario: “are we trying to change the payment info or just take brandon off of your monthly payment?” (acknowledges i’m paying; he isn’t, she also confirms she can not get in contact with my husband).
feb 15, 2025 — payment due reminder for $110.12 to …4395. all three policies are autodrafting from the same account.
feb 19, 2025 — payment due reminder again for $110.12.
feb 19, 2025: child policy and husband’s policy lapse.
per defendants’ later filing, two policies are recorded lapsed on 2/19/25: 25136771 (husband) and 25527599 (child)—while i’m still being dunned and trying to stabilize coverage. because rosario and i had just talked about brandon’s billing, i was attempting to talk to this “new rep” before i paid another $100 of policies. i also knew there was a grace period of at least 30 days.
mar 11, 2025 — rosario emails a scheduling link to “update your insurance policies.” there’s no mention of the 2/19 lapses, any beneficiary change, or any advisor conflict.
march 2025 (zoom) — first time anyone says it: i’m told tenenbaum was removed for an “awkward personal” relationship with my husband. i learn my beneficiary rights on 25136771 (brandon’s policy) were changed to his estate while i was paying/which she knew, and my access to the child policy vanished; i’m told to restart the child policy. i received no prior notice, clarification on advisor “conflict”, or any option of refund for any of this.
apr 1, 2025 — “payment update + re-enrolling ryan.” i confirm my bank update and ask to re-enroll the baby. rosario replies they’ll start it and will “make sure that your policy is paid up.”
apr 11, 2025 — i send my new colorado address on the same thread.
apr 17, 2025 — rosario thanks me for finishing the child medical questionnaire and asks the state of birth to send the new application.
may 9, 2025: my personal policy lapses.
may 9, 2025 — per defendants’ answer, my policy 25014880 is recorded lapsed. i don’t receive a timely warning that prevents it (all three policies were on the same billing profile).
may 14, 2025 — rosario writes: “we actually need your banking info to get your life insurance on auto-pay and start ryan’s!” (five days after the recorded lapse date for my policy).
may 14, 2025 — I SEND MY FULL BANK AND ROUTING DETAILS TO KATIE ROSARIO. (evidently, based on their own records: she still lets my personal policy lapse, without telling me, while simultaneously enrolling me in a new policy for my child)
may 28, 2025 — new juvenile policy is issued with me as owner & payer (their admission). i’m re-creating coverage i already paid to create.
jun 16–18, 2025 — i send a written, detailed escalation. kristy hopkins (local compliance) escalates to corporate and instructs rosario not to respond.
jun 20, 2025 — corporate-office sends a generic acknowledgment; no answers.
jun 21–22, 2025 — i file a 22-page formal record (case 4026199040) with dv documentation and request written-only communications.
jul 3, 2025 — home-office reply (case 4026245078) says “brandon was owner from the beginning,” admits i was the payer, and tells me to call customer service.
jul 14, 2025 — i file an SEC TCR, documenting that two policies disappeared from my portal without lapse notice and outlining the harm. i still have no idea my own policy has lapsed. i found this out when they responded to my legal complaint.
what this shows (straight up, no spin)
i was the payor on all three policies (including our infant’s).
there was an undisclosed personal/financial tie between the original advisor and my husband during the period i was paying and experiencing extreme dv while openly pregnant.
there was a firm-wide signature push the same week as my ER/c-section (1/23–1/28/24)—the date the office already had, considering they onboarded my husband and brought me in-office at around 8 weeks pregnant.
while i was actively paying under an FRO, my beneficiary rights (25136771) and child-policy access (25527599) were removed without notice (as i experienced it). apparently jessica named my husband as owner of every policy besides my own, including our infant that i had signed all the paperwork for in order to create the account. zero disclosure of this; but she had constant private communications with my husband for the entirety of our marriage.
feb 2025: i’m still getting payment reminders; mar 2025: successor mentions pieces of what had already happened.
may 2025: as i try to fix coverage and set auto-pay, the record now shows my policy lapsed, despite one shared billing account.
i preserved evidence, issued a written hold, and reported to the SEC.
corrections welcome: if counsel believes any date or amount above is inaccurate, please send the corrected written record to be appended. last updated: 2025-08-31 (america/denver).
