master timeline
lowe v. northwestern mutual
public summary (based on saved emails, calendar, portal screenshots, and defendants’ filed answer). dates/amounts come from those records. where i describe intent or impact, that’s my opinion. defendants deny wrongdoing; a court will decide.
keys (for readers):
★ policies → 25014880 (me) • 25136771 (husband) • 25527599 (minor child)
★ billing acct → …xx95 • my new checking/payor → …xx02
★ orders/ids → FRO FV-2024-000819 (NJ) • internal cases 4026199040 (6/21–22/25), 4026245078 (7/3/25)
weird word check: dunned / dunning = repeated demands for payment.
context: while my husband (unknowingly to me, but maybe not to his awkwardly close, work bestie—my financial rep, jessica t.) was out in texas, getting drunk and non-stop posting with his “new family,”
northwestern mutual kept treating him as the rightful owner of the life policies funded entirely by the woman and child he abandoned.
chronological timeline
(july 2023 → july 2025)
★ jul 2023 — ross brings me into the office, pregnant, cleaning houses through law school, to induce me to fund my husband’s “career launch.” i pay ~$500 for his milwaukee hotel share + flights/expenses. we never recover this in commissions. (records)
★ jul 2023 — full financial breakdown with senior advisor trisha f. she presents as my husband’s direct supervisor. we go line-by-line through my budget/ira/assets/future plans; husband has $0 income and is in the negative every single month. she takes notes, then routes all follow-up through her direct trainee—my husband—despite him having no equity. she holds mandatory “mentoring” while he makes ~$0 from eight weeks through my eighth month of pregnancy. (calendar + email) i see her in december at a holiday event; she seemingly acts like it’s normal that we are present, despite my husband’s zero productivity or licensure for six months.
→ jul–dec 2023 (my opinion on impact)
zero commissions from him during pregnancy.
he claims constant “office” presence, “team” hangouts at supervisors’ homes, bars, and jessica t.’s place with senior reps until midnight.
trish remains “mentor” through dec 2023.
i see trish/ross/jess in office and at multiple holiday events. (photos/msgs)
→ my pregnancy is leveraged as the foundation for professional optics. zero revenue is generated. firm-wide conduct normalizes his daily presence and expenses without any apparent oversight.
★ sept 2023 — initial client grooming begins. branded Northwestern Mutual life insurance medical history forms are sent to me by brandon directly, requesting signatures. the forms request extensive personal medical information, including prescription use and psychiatric history. i am not assigned an advisor and am told nothing about ownership structure. the implication is that i am initiating policies as the adult applicant. (emails + attachments)
★ oct 2023 — a contracted nurse visits my home to collect blood and urine samples. this paramedical visit is part of underwriting. the medical documentation confirms NM ordering of diagnostics. i am still not told that i am not listed as owner of two of the policies being created. (underwriting confirmation + medical records)
★ nov 2023 — internal training slide shared to new reps features my pregnancy, due date, and personal health context—but explicitly removes my name. it presents my pregnancy as “brandon lowe’s delivery date” and seemingly uses it as a milestone to motivate recruits. the slide lists brandon as the representative, and uses my reproductive status for institutional morale optics, while removing all mentions of me, his formally induced—pregnant, funding wife. (slide photo)
★ jan 12, 2024 — advisor assignment: jessica e. tenenbaum. underwriting kicks off; auto-draft set from my account. i dm her on instagram re: IRA rollover. no onboarding call/zoom; no direct phone for me. she texts/calls my husband regularly. (portal + dm screenshots)
→ first ever unexplained ~$1k check after he departs firm.
→ he ultimately claims almost nothing from nm on the record.
★ jan 15–16, 2024 — ER at 38 weeks for head/body trauma due to DV; i post publicly. nm reps follow and view. (social receipts)
★ jan 17, 2024 — jessica sends my husband money on venmo (visible publicly that day; pattern of private venmos prior). reason never explained to me. she’s presented as “professional” while personally paying him. (venmo screenshots)
→ (context: my opinion) i’m under extreme duress + lethal dv risk window; jessica keeps contacting him. once we relocate to nj, she begins to offer private meetings with her father in nyc; she ignores my explicit IRA rollover request that she previously acknowledged; essentially blocks normal client channels.
★ jan 23–28, 2024 — peri-partum e-signature push. multiple “signature needed” emails for me/husband during my ER + scheduled c-section (1/25). the office already had my due date (presented on powerpoint to onboarding reps, incl. jessica). (email logs + training slide photo)
★ jan 25, 2024 — c-section. child born. (medical rec, nm denver = widely-known)
★ feb 6, 2024 — postpartum visit. tenenbaum photographed holding my newborn at my home. she coordinates only with my unemployed husband. i’m recovering from birth and dv assault. she keeps pushing policies; no direct contact with me other than dms i initiate. (photos + msgs)
★ feb 9, 2024 — formal underwriting confirmation for both adult policies. at 11:27 AM CST, NM emails confirm my Conditional Insurance Agreement is executed, listing Jessica Tenenbaum as the contact. at 11:28 AM CST, i receive a separate confirmation that my signature is completed on brandon's policy application — which was initiated on jan 23, 2024, the same day mine was. ★ at 12:27 PM, NM timestamps the attached conditional agreement. ★ then at 4:15 PM MT, an NM rep cc's tenenbaum on a “welcome to underwriting” message breaking down premiums: $35.19 for my policy, $42.16 for brandon’s — $77.35/month total, scheduled to draft from my checking on march 19, 2024. (emails, signed CIAs, and underwriting logs)
→ underwriting was executed by an advisor with undisclosed financial/personal contact with a client’s spouse during escalating, documented DV and medical crisis.
→ spring 2024 — family relocates; jessica maintains regular, private contact with my husband; my rep ignores me for months. (socials)
★ apr 30–may 29, 2024 — juvenile chain: multi “signature needed” → may 28 “signature complete — juvenile” + conditional → may 29 “welcome to underwriting.” (emails)
★ may 22, 2024 — ops notes $30.28 added to the 19th-of-month draft for the child policy. (emails + statement)
★ oct 2024 / jan 2025 — separation + TRO/FRO. premiums keep drafting from me for husband + infant policies. he has abandoned us financially by month’s end and continues drafting his bills from my account. (bank + court)
while all of this was happening, northwestern mutual was still calling him the “full owner” — and protecting his access to the same policies i paid for, signed for, and maintained.
and here’s what he was doing at that exact time: cohabitating publicly in texas with a new woman and her three kids, drinking at ballparks, and posting family photos; he’s openly out with this woman, obviously inebriated; still legally married — five days before our daughter’s first birthday; which he entirely ignores.
★jan 14, 2025 — “payment request received.” $217.75 auto-drafted from …5202 to nm billing …4395. confirms i’m payor of record. (bank + portal)
★ jan 17, 2025 — new advisor kaitlin (katie) rosario writes: “are we trying to change the payment info or just take brandon off of your monthly payment?” acknowledges i’m paying; also says she can’t reach him. (secure msg)
★ feb 15 & 19, 2025 — payment due reminders $110.12 to …4395; all three policies on the same billing profile. (emails + invoice)
CHILD AND HUSBAND’S POLICY LAPSE
★ feb 19, 2025 — lapses recorded (per defendants’ answer): 25136771 (husband) and 25527599 (child). i’m still being dunned and trying to stabilize coverage. having just discussed brandon’s billing with rosario, i’m attempting to coordinate before paying again; i also know there’s a grace period ~30 days. (answer + emails)
★ mar 11, 2025 — rosario sends a scheduling link to “update your insurance policies.” no mention of 2/19 lapses, beneficiary change, or advisor conflict. (email)
★ march 13 2025 email from Kaitlin Rosario:
“we were supposed to talk through updated beneficiaries / payments on insurance policies right now. … i am still free for the next 25 minutes – can you let me know when you’re free?”
→ (my experience mar 2025) i keep getting billing statements for all three; rosario “services” my account while telling me i’m locked out of two policies. she insists the child’s policy is void even though i’m paying and have full custody (FRO), and she knows he’s not in contact.
★ mar 2025 (zoom) — first admission from anyone: jessica was removed for an “awkward personal” relationship with my husband from katie rosario. comment felt mocking in nature—my husband and i have only just very recently estranged. ★ i also learn my beneficiary rights on 25136771 were changed to his estate while i was paying and without my knowledge; katie admits she thought the change “was you [me],” but never checked and my child policy access vanished while i was still being billed on one account for all three policies and actively paying; i’m told to restart my child’s policy. ★ no meaningful reason is given. i am told i now have zero access to my husband’s policy that i signed formal e-documents to initiate and just funded. this is with no prior notice to me re: conflict, owner changes, or refunds. ★ all documents i had originally signed regarding our child and my husband’s policies during my c-section onboarded under jessica t. have now been removed from my portal. (emails + underwriting confirmations)
→ (my experience march-september 2025) i am never told directly when jessica t. was removed from my accounts or why—despite repeatedly requesting those explicit material facts to corporate, denver offices, and counsel.
★ apr 1, 2025 — i email “payment update + re-enrolling ryan.” confirm bank update; ask to re-enroll baby. rosario: they’ll start it and “make sure your policy is paid up.” my policy seems to already be functioning, as i set it up—on autopay. all three policies had been linked to my new bank account. (email)
★ apr 11, 2025 — i send new colorado address on same thread. (email)
★ apr 17, 2025 — rosario thanks me for finishing child medical questionnaire and asks state of birth to send the new application. (email)
PERSONAL POLICY LAPSE
★ may 9, 2025 — my policy lapses (25014880) per defendants’ answer. i don’t receive a timely warning preventing it (all 3 were on the same billing profile). (answer + billing)
★ may 14, 2025 — rosario: “we actually need your banking info to get your life insurance on auto-pay and start ryan’s!” five days after the recorded lapse date. (email)
★ may 14, 2025 — i send full bank + routing to rosario. based on their own records: she still lets my personal policy lapse without telling me, while starting a new child policy. (email + issuance)
★ may 28, 2025 — new juvenile policy issued with me as owner & payer. i’m re-creating coverage i had already paid to create. (issuance)
★ jun 16–18, 2025 — i send a detailed escalation. kristy hopkins (compliance) escalates to corporate, then instructs rosario not to respond. (email)
★ jun 20, 2025 — corporate sends generic ack; no answers. (email)
→ (my experience june 2025) i am told by nm that payments for my policies will be put on pause while corporate investigates. unknown to me—my personal policy has already “lapsed” back in may while katie rosario was simultaneously taking my banking details and enrolling my daughter in a new policy, under her commissions. (nm legal answer + emails with katie rosario)
★ jun 21–22, 2025 — i file a 22-page formal record (4026199040), with dv docs; request written-only communications. (email submission)
★ jul 3, 2025 — home-office reply (4026245078): “brandon was owner from the beginning,” admits i was the payer, and tells me to call customer service. (formal reply)
★ jul 14, 2025 — i file an SEC TCR: two policies disappeared from my portal without lapse notice; outline harm. i still have no idea my own policy has lapsed—i learn that from their answer. (tcr + answer)
what this shows (straight up)
✦ i was the signer, initiator, and payor on record of all three policies (incl. my husband’s and our infant’s). (records)
✦ there was an undisclosed personal/financial tie between the original advisor and my husband while i was paying and pregnant/postpartum under dv risk. (venmo + photos + msgs)
✦ there was a firm-wide signature push 1/23–1/28/24 (the week of my ER/c-section), and the office had my due date on a training slide. (emails + slide)
✦ while i was actively paying under an FRO, my beneficiary rights on 25136771 were changed to his estate and child-policy access was removed without notice (as experienced by me). (portal access + later disclosures)
✦ feb–mar 2025: i’m still getting payment reminders while successor rep withholds/lacks key info.
✦ may 2025: as i try to fix coverage and set auto-pay, my policy is already lapsed—despite a shared billing account and me providing banking on 5/14.
✦ i preserved evidence, issued a litigation hold, and reported to the SEC.
**northwestern mutual still stands by that setup, even though he started a second family in texas in late 2024, and by early 2025 had completely abandoned his child — now documented on record through financial, court, and insurance files.

★
mid-ownership dispute (late 2024 → early 2025)
while i was fighting to keep our family’s life-insurance policies from lapsing, my husband was already building a second family in texas.
northwestern mutual had been told—repeatedly—that he’d left the state, ignored support orders, and stopped all contact with his infant daughter.
i tell them that he’s even misappropriating the dependent pay he gets from VA benefits designated for our child. (apparently, while living with a new woman and her three children.)
yet the company kept him listed as “full owner” of every policy i funded, including the one written for the child he had just abandoned.
by january through march 2025, he was cohabitating openly with another woman and her children, celebrating birthdays and posting from frisco ballparks—while i was still being auto-drafted for his premiums.
the financial, court, and insurance records now all align:
the second family began in late 2024 (NYE public social photos); the abandonment of the first was total by early 2025.
the whole squad?
…why though?
